Project Two Roll with Lane Baldwin

Lane, of Lane Baldwin Photography, who has been such a wonderful help in growing my business and is just a GOOD, down to earth person, asked me if I could be her 1st subject in a personal film project she wanted to embark upon. Film, not a movie, just an old-fashioned roll of film in a camera. It limits the photographer’s ability to click away a gazillion times for the right shot, but it renders purely beautiful photos, which are crisp and clean and timeless. I was in, and so thankful for the opportunity!

Lane wanted a space filled with natural light and Suzanne of Suzuran Photography offered to let us use her studio space. That studio is a dream! It’s very white and bright and filled with nothing but unique, vintage, and eclectic taste and style. Lane thought it would be cool to shoot me building a bouquet from start to finish, so that’s what we did. I used garden roses, sweet peas, hanging amaranthus, tulips, rice flower, kangaroo paw, and my favorite from the bouquet, jasmine!

My very favorite green snips (circa 2002) have been with me since my Chelsea, NYC days. That’s a pretty long life for a cheap pair of flower scissors!
